English Subbed Anime!
1st off sorry fellas, I am 2 weeks out from being married so, for those who are married. I know for a fact that you can relate. Anyways, sorry for not posting as much as I would like at the time. Well back on subject. My soon to be wife loves our daughter to read, and im glad she loves reading. I say why not kill two birds with one stone. Anime is Japanese Animation. The dubbed versions usually have these annoying actors but english subs ( sub-titles ) have the original voices to them but you read along. Well there are so many types for so many ages. English subbed anime causes you to read while watching, and come to find out it is quite popular and engrossing. After each episode Id ask her what happened to make sure she was reading and I also find my self googling japanese culture to battle the horde of questions that go along with each episode. So, none the less, we are both learning, and entertained. I would start off with some of the Miazaki collection and go from there.

Bomberman hours of fun.
Just picked up Bomberman Live on xbox 360. I know its an older game but, id rather go back a few years than expose my 8 y/o to the glorious battles held in Call of Duty Black Ops. sigh. Well anyways. I introduced...umm... we will call her L’s to bomberman a few days ago and oddly enough she loves it. The learning curve is about 10-20 minutes. They have to get used to all the items and such but basically, the object of the game is to try and blow up your opponent using bombs. This is mindless fun that you and your daughter can have for hours. They have different maps, modes and unlockable costumes ( she really loves that ) and you can have up to 8 opponents going at once. There are a few add-ons available, but the standard game itself is worth the 800 ms points.
I give Bomberman Live for Xbox360 a 8.5 out of 10
Next post. L’s 1st time watching Anime :) ( kid friendly of course )
Morning Fellas, have I got good news for you.
What's going on Fellas, this blog is dedicated to all the fathers who want and are taking a role in their daughters lives. If your like me, ( plays video games, watches movies, likes to hang with the guys etc...) this is for you. Here, we can kind of get away from the Sesame Street way of tip toeing around parenting and instead mold it into something we can live with, I mean...enjoy. It's no real recipe of being a good parent, we can only try our best. each child is different ( so they say ) but your daughter may not like everything this blog has to offer but it will give you ideas and at least rule out a few things.
We will cover Movies, shows (old and new) and Also, we are taking a look into video games for the current systems, projects and more. No girls allowed!
Updates will occur frequently so please check back and feedback is more than appreciated.
